Reopening Guidelines for Expressive Glass

Each student who works on mandrel will be given a labeled block of mandrels to use while at the studio. Let me know if you think you will need more than 10 mandrels and, subject to availability, I will provide additional blocks. Your block(s) will be on one of the tables in front of the mirrors.

You will be responsible for removing your beads, cleaning, drying and re-dipping your mandrels before you leave. If any of your mandrels is bent or a bead is permanently stuck, the first one is on me, then you will be charged $1 per bent or unusable mandrel.

Please use the provided cloths to disinfect the vise, chair, and bead release jar when you are done with them.

Make sure to use hand sanitizer before you touch any glass in the glass case or bin. (note added 5/26/20).

As in the past, the clock on your studio time begins when you light your torch. To make life easier, I will maintain all time sheets. Please advise me when you light your torch and when you are done so I can update your sheet accordingly.

At this time, renters will be using the large kiln. I will explain its use when you arrive.
